That’s an excellent question. And the answer really depends on what you’re going to be using your leaflet for. If you need them for a county-wide door drop, we’ll probably suggest one of our lighter papers which tend to be more cost effective for high quantities. For promotions, nothing grabs attention quite like a glossy finish. Or, for a more prestigious event, we’d like to introduce you to our premium, silky leaflets.

The next time you are handed a leaflet or a piece of marketing material, try and take note of what you do. We’re willing to bet you look at the front, then flip it over to see what is on the back. Another excellent question! The answer is, the process is exactly the same. The only difference is the material that they are printed on. Leaflets tend to be thinner, like paper, where as flyers tend to use a thicker material like card.
Saying that, the terms ‘leaflet printing’ and ‘flyer printing’ are often used interchangeably. You can ask your local Nettl studio for either and they’ll know what you mean. They might ask a few questions to find out what you’re going to use them for so they can recommend the best option.
Takeaway menus, price lists and short term promotions are typically best suited to leaflet printing, where as if you’re advertising a premium product or service, or you need something that’s a bit more durable, then flyers are they way to go.
